You can drag and drop an image into the desired position when you are drafting a new message in Apple Mail. The use of tables and bulleted lists, however, are additional text formatting requirements. Using the New Message button, the File menu option New Message, or the keyboard shortcut Command+N, you can start a new message in Apple Mail.
