give top priority to the immediate creation and implementation of the "proposed" Tree Cutting and Site Alteration By-Laws.
Both of these By-laws are long overdue - and, absolutely required for the long-term protection of the environment. Thorough biodiversity safeguards and enforcement measures are imperative if we want to STOP the increasing rate of environmental destruction!! If this isn't properly & adequetly addressed -now- we'll all be saying "we should have" at some later point in time. Our natural surroundings (lakes, trees, plants, animals, etc.) are too important and we must not just take them for granted!! Once the environment has been destroyed - it can't ever be replaced. If you agree with what I've said please notify your local councillor. Each & every opinion matters, counts and will make a difference.
